Singing saws, burning trees and musical parforcerides in ludicrous perfection: the night will certainly not be silent when Salut Salon invite you to their Christmas concert - although this Christmas classic will of course be heard.

For 20 years now, the quartet from Hamburg has been captivating a steadily growing fan community around the globe, including classical music enthusiasts as well as people who would normally never set foot in a concert hall. And with their own mixture of virtuosity and wit, Angelika Bachmann (violin), Alvina Lahyani (violin), Mara Kochendörfer (cello) and Kristiina Rokashevich (piano) conjure up a big bag of sounding gems on stage in their Christmas programme: Christmas music from all corners of the world meets sounds from classical music, chanson and film music, and the four musicians drape works from Bach to Dvořák to Piazzolla under the richly decorated tree - all lovingly packaged and performed with sparkling, even holy joy. Hallelujah - what a gift giving.
