Anna-Lena Perenthaler received her first cello lessons with Susanne Bohn-Schultze. She studied cello with Prof. Maria Kliegel at the HfMT Cologne, with Jean-Guihen Queyras in Stuttgart and with Prof. Troels Svane at the Hochschule für Musik Lübeck, where she graduated with top marks. She has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the Bergische Symphoniker and the Kammerorchester Bodensee-Oberschwaben. In the field of ›New Music‹ she has been guest with renowned ensembles such as the Ensemble Resonanz Hamburg and the ›Decoder Ensemble - Band for Contemporary Music‹. Anna-Lena gained orchestral experience at the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, the NDR Symphony Orchestra Hamburg and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. Thomas Hengelbrock brought her into his Balthasar Neumann ensemble. Since January 2018 Anna-Lena Perenthaler is the solo cellist at the Opera Pforzheim. In 2014 she won the first prize and the Audience Award at the International Music Competition ›Musica Antiqua‹ in Bruges. In 2017 Anna-Lena was part of the interdisciplinary cultural project ›The Melting Pot‹ with dancers and musicians - awarded by the Adventis-Foundation.
Since 2019 Anna-Lena plays with Salut Salon.
